What is ICDC?

What is it and why should I compete?

Internationally Recognized Competition

ICDC is the finals for DECA, where the best teams from each state and province go to compete out of over 236,000 competitors. The 2025 ICDC finals will be held in Orlando. It is also an opportunity to network and join workshops led by industry experts as well as attending one of the largest University Fairs.

Why DECA?

What makes DECA different from any other competition and why should I compete in it?

International Recognition

DECA is the largest business competition in North America and is recognized by most universities, especially in the USA and Ontario. Collingwood has the privilege of qualifying 20 teams for the ICDC finals, a rare opportunity found nowhere else in BC.

Hands-on Learning

The wide range of events allows students to find their passion throughout the process of competing in DECA. This allows students to apply what is taught in the classroom to real life and current issues in the world.

Post High School Success

A growing sentiment shared by multiple Collingwood Grads is the regret of not having the opportunity to compete in DECA. As DECA is what many exclusive clubs in university are looking for, it is a huge advantage to not only compete in DECA, but also qualify for ICDC finals.
